Emergency Ambulance Service's Director of Government Affairs Appointed to St. Francis Medical Center Board of Directors

BREA, CA - February 1, 2002 - Emergency Ambulance Service, Inc. (Emergency), announces the appointment of its Director of Government Affairs, Chad Druten, to the Board of Directors for St. Francis Medical Center (SFMC).  SFMC a member of the new Daughters of Charity Health System announced the appointment of Druten and eleven other new members to its board at a commissioning ceremony held last January 23 in Los Angeles, CA. Druten will serve a one-year term.

Established in 1945, St. Francis Medical Center is the only comprehensive, non-profit healthcare institution serving Southeast Los Angeles.  The Medical Center provides a full range of diagnostic and treatment services for 700,000 adults and 300,000 children who count on it for high quality and compassionate medical care.  The medical center operates a 384-bed acute care hospital, six community based health clinics, and the largest and busiest private emergency trauma center in Los Angeles County.

Druten was selected for the position based on his professional expertise and vision and focus on developing philanthropic and corporate support.

Druten joined Emergency Ambulance Service, Inc. in October 2001, and since then has been part of the company’s ongoing strategic development effort, including the expansion of services at St. Francis Medical Center.
