EMERGENCY AMBULANCE SERVICE TALKS CHILD SAFETY

Company Joins California Senator Margett And A Variety
Of Health And Safety Professionals For Child Safety Fair

POMONA, California - September 9, 2002 Emergency Ambulance Service joined a host of health and safety professionals, as well as government and law enforcement representatives, for a day of child safety and awareness at the recent Child Safety Fair at Cal Poly Pomona.

The event—which was sponsored by Senator Bob Margett and held in conjunction with the National Center for Child Safety and Awareness—was organized in response to the multitude of recent child abductions in Southern California, and provided parents the opportunity to collect important information about their child and share safety information.

As part of the event, Emergency Ambulance Service distributed child safety packets with information on a variety of topics, including: home earthquake preparedness, bicycle helmets, drowning prevention, automobile safety for children, home safety and pedestrian safety. In addition, Emergency staff gave children tours of the ambulance and answered questions.

“We feel children are one of the most important assets to our community,” said Emergency Ambulance President Phil Davis. “Our company is constantly working to outreach children through a variety of community and school events to provide them with the information they need to lead happy, healthy lives.”

Emergency Ambulance Service was joined at the event by more than 30 health and safety organizations, as well as numerous local fire and police departments. The event was free to the public and attracted more than a thousand children and their parents.

“Children come first in our community,” noted Senator Margett in a press release, “and their safety should be a priority.”
