Emergency Ambulance Service Names Ernie Madrigal as Director of Marketing/Business Development for its Los Angeles service area

BREA, California - January 02, 2001 - Emergency Ambulance Service (Emergency) has selected Ernie Madrigal as director of marketing and business development for its expanding Los Angeles division.  Madrigal will be responsible for the company's marketing and business development efforts in the region.  He brings more than 23 years of sales and business development expertise to the company, including considerable experience gained in the insurance industry, where he managed accounts for numerous ambulance services.

Madrigal has gained extensive knowledge of business development and marketing working in the insurance industry since 1979.  As for the ambulance industry, Madrigal began his association with it in 1981 as an emergency medical technician for Professional Ambulance Service in Glendale, CA.  Following one year of employ he returned full time to the insurance industry where he remained until December 2000 selling insurance packages to ambulance providers.

Madrigal has studied at the Insurance Skills Center, holding career related certificates in sales dynamics, insurance practices & procedures, risk management, employment practices, worker's compensation, and exposure analysis.  In addition he has completed studies at Glendale Community College including emergency medical technology. 

Family-owned and operated since 1977, Emergency Ambulance Service, Inc. has nine ambulance deployment centers located throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties.  Emergency provides Emergency Basic Life Support and Nurse-Staffed Critical Care Transportation in Los Angeles and Orange Counties.  The company also provides 911 primary emergency ambulance services to five of the cities it operates in, as well as providing back up 911 service to several surrounding communities.
