Brea, California - (August 4, 2004) - Emergency Ambulance Service, Inc. (EAS) announced today that it was awarded a long-term contract to continue as the exclusive emergency ambulance provider in Placentia, California. The contract was awarded Tuesday night on a unanimous vote of the Placentia City Council.
The agreement includes an initial term of five years, followed by a single, five-year renewal period, for a total possible length of ten years. The agreement provides for EAS to provide all Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance service in the city.

EAS responded to over 2,000 calls in Placentia in the past year and has served the community since 1994. Placentia is one of the more populous cities in North Orange County, encompassing 6.6 square miles and a population of 46,488 residents.
